WORICA is an Erasmus+ project that supports women aged 30–64, especially women with migrant backgrounds or low educational attainment. Many women face barriers in work and daily life because of discrimination, lack of information, or fewer learning opportunities. WORICA responds to these needs with accessible, non-formal learning and creative methods.
WORICA uses collage art as a simple and powerful way to learn and express ideas. Collage can support confidence, self-expression, and connection with others—also when language is difficult. Women work individually and together, and they can share stories through art in a safe, supportive space.

Our main goal
Objectives & target groups
WORICA helps women build skills and confidence for daily life, work, and community participation. We also raise awareness about gender equality, gender equity, and inclusion.
Objectives (simple list)
Improve women’s knowledge of gender equality and women’s rights at local, national, and EU level.
Offer a user-friendly EU Gender Equality Handbook with practical guidance, step-by-step actions, and helpful contacts.
Build hard skills (digital skills, design basics) and soft skills (communication, teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, time/project management).
Use collage art to help women express experiences, feelings, and dreams, including experiences of (in)equality.
Organise Women Empowerment Shows in each partner country so women can share their work with the community and feel included.

Work packages & activities
WORICA is organised into five work packages (WPs). Each WP has clear activities and results that support women’s inclusion and gender equality learning.
WP1 – Project management
We coordinate the project, follow the plan and timeline, and ensure quality and clear communication between partners.
WP2 – EU Gender Equality Handbook
We develop a user-friendly handbook with:
National and EU context information
A glossary of key terms
Practical “how to” guidance
A directory of contacts: organisations and services that can help
WP3 – Learning Programme: Collage Art and Inclusion
We develop and implement a learning programme with:
Theory modules (collage art basics + digital skills)
Practical workshops (create individual and co-created artworks)
WP4 – Women Empowerment Shows
We organise six local exhibitions (one in each country). Women co-design and co-curate the exhibitions and present their artworks to the community.
WP5 – Dissemination & sustainability
We share results widely (website, social media, newsletters) and support the use of the materials beyond the project. The website will host resources and stay available after the project.
Timeline note: Activities are implemented step-by-step from 2025 to 2028.
