EU Gender Equality Handbook

Many women face unfair treatment at work or in daily life but do not know what to do or where to ask for help. The WORICA handbook is a user-friendly guide to support women with clear information and practical steps.
What you will find inside:

A simple overview of women’s rights and gender equality

(national + EU level)

A glossary explaining key words in a clear way

A “How to” section: what to do if you face discrimination and where to find support

A directory of contacts: organisations and services that can help

Accessibility note: The handbook is created with women from different backgrounds so it can be relatable and easy to use.

Learning Programme overview

WORICA offers a non-formal learning programme where women learn step-by-step through creative collage art and simple digital activities. It supports women to build skills for work and life, and to feel more confident and included.

How it works:

Theoretical modules (collage art basics + digital skills)

Practical workshops to create individual and co-created artworks and prepare for exhibitions

Sessions are designed to be time-efficient and supportive for women with busy lives and responsibilities.

What women can gain:

Soft skills: communication, teamwork, creativity, leadership, problem-solving, time and project management

Hard skills: digital literacy, basic design skills, collage art knowledge and practice

Outcome: Women create artworks that express their experiences and perspectives, including gender (in)equality themes.
